Case Study - Kent House Road, Beckenham

Intro

The photos show the house as it was, work in progress, the finished extension and interior.

Brief:

An all-inclusive project to extend the lower portion of the rear of the house; creating a new kitchen diner space

Finished kitchen

Completed exterior lit

Our approach

This reconfiguration meant propping up the first floor whilst the structure was put in place beneath; then extending the upper floor backwards to line up with the new ground floor extension.

This provided a much more cost effective solution for the client than knocking down the existing space and rebuilding.

A few design adjustments to the original plans allowed us to fit into the overall area a small utility area and downstairs shower room adding a much needed additional bathroom to the property and value to the house.

Our responsibilities

Foundations, brickwork, carpentry, roofing, plumbing, electrics, plastering, kitchen and bathroom installations, tiling, decorating,  and the exterior landscaping; leaving the clients with a completely finished project.

“CSDB completed a two storey rear extension to our house on time and on budget. From the early planning stages, through to the successful completion and finishing of the build, Rick and his team were there to help and provide advice on the best course of action. I was obviously mindful of cost but also wanted a nice finish to the job too and CSDB helped us meet our requirements. They take pride in their work and pay attention to detail. It’s the reason I have asked them back to design and build a summerhouse for us!”
