Case Study - Garden Road, Sundridge Park
We removed the main chimney breast (delicately, as the client wanted to retain the ornate and original fireplaces to the first floor). Areas of the first floor were removed and replaced, a small rear extension was added and walls were knocked down to facilitate changes in the layout of the house.
As well as this the garage was converted to accommodate a gym and boiler/utility room, the downstairs bathroom was knocked through and re-fitted, the upstairs bathroom and bedrooms were re-configured to allow for a reasonable family size bathroom.
The whole house was re-plumbed, re-wired, re-plastered and re-decorated; including features and character being put back into the period house such as bespoke coving and ornate architraves and skirting.
Externally the front garden was re-designed to incorporate a sweeping in and out drive. In the rear garden a disused space was transformed into a raised play area.
The project took 5 months to complete.
“CSDB were recommended to us by our estate agent when we bought a slightly run-down house with heaps of character a couple of years ago. It’s no exaggeration to say that every inch of the property has been utterly transformed in those two years and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with the whole team and their associates in doing so.
Rick has been incredibly informative about the restoration elements of our build and has made more suggestions than I can count about layout, spacing and period features. Nothing has been too much trouble for him or his team and our little boy adores them. We have had hundreds of compliments on the house but a lot of the credit goes to CSDB. I haven’t hesitated to recommend them to my friends and family”
